Healthy Drink Recipes + Classy Sequin Skirt & Nude Pumps

Hello loves! I can't believe Christmas is only ONE week away. That's seven more days of Christmas movies, music, shopping, planning, etc. Time flies! I have a few last minute stocking stuffer items to pick up then I'll be finished with holiday shopping. Does anyone else feel that they want the time to slow down this week? This is the best week - the anticipation is building and drinks are stirring! In today's post, I'd like to share a couple of healthy drink recipes that you can make with a few ingredients in your very own home! All it takes is a quick run to the grocery store and about ten minutes to make each one!

Vegan Hot Cacao (liquor is optional):
-2 cups of unsweetened almond or coconut milk
-1.5 ounces of dark chocolate (look for cacao in the ingredients)
-1 tbsp of cacao powder
-1 tsp of vanilla extract
-2 ounces liquor of your choice (bourbon/rum) (optional)
-top with coconut whipped cream

Place all of the ingredients (minus the liquor) into a small sauce pan. Cook at medium heat and stir frequently until chocolate pieces are melted. Turn off heat. Stir in liquor (optional). Use your favorite holiday mug, add coconut whipped cream for another touch of sweetness and enjoy!

Harvest Sangria (liquor is optional):
-1 cup of fresh orange juice
-1/2 cup of fresh cranberry juice
-1 cup of oranges peeled and sliced
-1 cup of apples peeled and sliced
-1/4 cup of coconut sugar
-2 whole cloves
-1 cinnamon stick
-1 lemon peeled and sliced
-1 lime peeled and sliced
-1 cup of liquor of your choice (my favorite is Ciroc unflavored - made with grapes :))
-750 milliliter (1 bottle) of red wine (my favorite types for this mix is pinot noir or merlot)

Mix all up in a big pitcher. Put the slices in last. Stir it up! P.S. I also like to squeeze a little of each type of fruit before putting into the pitcher for extra sweetness. Enjoy!

Now let's talk about this glamorous, classy and STUNNING outfit! Sequins are fabulous this time of year, they never go out of style. If you own one or two sequin skirts - you're all set. They can be re-worn every year as if they were brand new because we rarely reach for sequin type styles in the spring or summer. This Kensie gray sequin mini skirt from Macy's is the best I've found and it's under $50 right now. It has a stretchy material with a fun flow/loose flair in the back. It's not itchy or uncomfortable like some other sequin skirts I have tried. The sequins are thin, not stiff, so it flows with you as you move. It won't restrict your dance moves on the dance floor! That's an A+ for me because all I want to do is dance at a holiday party.

I paired this skirt with a white long sleeve top and Salma beige matte pointed pumps from Vici. The white top is sold out, but click HERE, HERE or HERE to view other white long sleeve tops/bodysuits from Vici that will go well tucked into this skirt. These heels are unique. They are the perfect neutral shade to warm up this look. I picked a simple nude heel because the skirt is busy and the top is bright. I did not want to add more busy/bright styles that could take focus off of the main attraction. Click HERE, HERE and HERE to view some similar nude pumps.

Ciao for now,
Italiana
